I've begun cleaning house in preparation for the move from here to eternity wherever I end up in the real world. I'm trying to jettison all I can on the way, since it would be nice if everything I owned still fit into a five-by-ten-by-eight-foot space at the end of the semester, or perhaps even less. Lucky offered to drive his truck out and help me move, but uh....*shifty look* I have four truckloads' worth of stuff. Well, really, I mean, you put a bicycle and a bed in a truck and that's one load right there.

Anyhow, part of the cleaning is going through little things like my casette tape collection. We were relatively poor in high school, so I made a lot of mix tapes of radio music, because back then CDs cost twenty, twenty-five dollars each. Now I'm going through them and having complete nostalgia attacks. Policy of Truth by Depeche Mode was my Fox Mulder song for years.

And I'm getting my vengeance on the upstairs neighbours -- I've been playing these tapes at a fairly high volume since seven am. :D

Commentary post-hack: I don't know if I'll be able to recover the entries about my upstairs neighbours; mainly what I recall is that they had really loud and more importantly NOT VERY GOOD sex at late hours.

I cleaned out a box labeled "irrelevant papers" today, as well as my tapes. I can't believe some of the stuff I've kept over the years -- and some of the stuff I've forgotten, too. I thought I'd share some of the handwritten stuff I've finally typed in. :)

( Bits and bobs )

Commentary post-hack: Another gut-wrenching post to have lost. Still, I do have most of the bits and bobs in my handwriting still...at least I hope. Original URL: http://copperbadge.livejournal.com/613806.html
